About Your Captain's And Boat
Captain John and Captain Jeff have many years out fishing in Lake Michigan Both Captains have a 100 ton US Coast Guard Master Captain's License.
Captain John has been chartering Lake Michigan's waters since 1990. He is the owner and operator of 30 Pounder III, one of Manistee's best fit charter boats. He began charter fishing on Free Spirit, a 24' Lund. Next boat he upgraded to is a 31.5 Chris Craft, specially made for fishing The boat provides more comfort and better suited for Lake Michigan.
Captain Jeff specializes in providing action packed trips to everyone from the beginner to the seasoned expert. They fish for everything from King Salmon to Lake Trout and whatever bites the hook. Your Captain's supply all of the bait and tackle, you and your group are welcome to bring snacks and drinks for the trip. We clean and bag your fish so bring a cooler for them nice fillets.

READ MOREOur boat is 12 ft. wide with a stand-up head (restroom) and enclosed cabin. The fishing deck is completely open (12′ x 12′) and the flying bridge has bench seats for observing, taking pictures or just relaxing. Six people can fish very comfortably aboard 30 POUNDER III.
